WHO: Anyone, clergy or not, may enter a sermon in the category closest to their spiritual tradition. WHY: In addressing key moral concerns, such as climate and creation care, it is Michigan’s faith community who needs to have its voice heard and best practices shared. We want to stimulate the creativity of the faith community in addressing the great moral challenge of our time. HOW: Write an Earth Day sermon and submit it in writing or on video. We will also consider Earth Day/Green ideas for worship, separate from a sermon. Submitting your sermon on video is optional.

Also, please state your intentions for the money to “green” your house of worship, if you win. (Some suggestions are: purchase CFLs for your building, retro-fit Exit signs with LEDs, plant an organic garden; organize an Environmental Fair, organize a community low-carbon café, purchase CFLs for low income community, etc.) WHEN: Entries due by July 04, 2008.
