Through MiIPL’s partnership with the Small Business Association of Michigan [SBAM] MiIPL member congregations are eligible for SBAM’s employee benefits and SBAM’s customer electric choice program.
Through MiIPL’s relationship with the United States Green Building Council MiIPL is able to direct congregations to the best practices and practitioners in Michigan in sustainable and energy efficient construction.
Building on the foundation of ENERGY STAR and green power experience, Rev. Morris teamed with the Michigan ENERGY STAR Promotion Project in the fall of 2002 to pilot an ENERGY STAR® for congregations project. Based on the success of this effort, the Small Business Association of Michigan (Director and host organization for the Michigan ENERGY STAR Promotion Project), helped launch MiIPL as a key collaborator in the Michigan ENERGY STAR and Green Power scene and remains a key partner.
